Introduction

The main goal of the course is to teach students how to sketch and build novel interactive systems without intensive programming and engineering knowledge, using simple tools, few trick and lots of imagination. No particular expertise is required, just basic knowledge about computing and computer usage, and creative thinking.

More specifically, during the assignment, students are going to:

Students are going to learn how to explore and communicate novel ideas through sketching and prototyping of interactive systems that use novel modalities such as speech input and output, camera based sensing, or input from Wii devices (see http://amico.sf.net/amico-demos.html and http://www.vip.id.tue.nl/ for illustration of types of applications that we plan to cover in the course).
